What we put into motion (or missed) sinks into our body and manifests in our environment in this month of May (5).
The work we did, still partially hidden, becomes visible. With the sun moving higher in the sky, the parts of our “home” that need cleaning, become apparent.
The “Easter cleaning” belongs to this period every year, and all that we accumulated, neglected, all that we could not see or just put aside waiting to act on it, will demand to be dealt with.
There is a saying: “All the knots come to the comb” … Sooner or later, the issues unravel. And from a manageable situation, should we keep ignoring what needs to be manifested, we arrive at a difficult intrigue with which we must deal.
At the level of the physical body, this is the space of the throat, between the big area of our ribcage on one side, and our head on the other side. While the heart receives messages to sort out in more noble ways the impulses of the lower triangle rather than struggling with fears of survival, the mind demands explanations.
At the level of the throat, we have a chance to manifest our reality and give birth to our authentic selves.
What the heart cannot take, the mind will justify.
So, when we bypass the gate of the throat, the mind takes over and attempts to repair the tension by applying strategies and known defense mechanisms.
5 is also the teacher aspect. Do we allow our body to teach us through perception and feelings in the present moment, or do we sacrifice it and use it to remain limited and avoid the risk of questioning our lives?
Our nervous system is the interface point between the matter and the abstract realities of the emotions, mind, and spirit; the stronger, the better it can do its job.
Our inner truth is connected to our first innocent desire for life and is manifested in ever-changing ways when we are connected to the flow of life.
When events happen that we consider negative or unexpected, we block this flow and remain attached to what could have been instead of what it is. We try to repair the past, we regret it, we are frustrated, we can’t let go, we blame, and compare.
So busy with the past, we block the present and future cutting ourselves from creativity and prosperity. Our life becomes altogether a reaction to what should have been and was not. An illusion.
This year (2022 (6) + 5 = 11) and especially this month there is a special call for integrity. It is like an ultimatum, and we are requested to finally face our mirror and hold on to it if we do not want to go for another round through the 10 bodies (and years) trying to keep the illusion of control and cover the parts of ourselves that we want to keep hidden.
On integrity:
How much are our words and actions tuned with our values, and how do we handle the discrepancies between our work/daily life on one side and the spirit on the other? Inevitably, some actions in the matter are contradictory to our ideals. For example, we value the equality in our spiritual community and are required to be competitive at work; we wish for a world free of bargains but in our daily life we must accept them; we are environmentalists but need a car to move in the city, or planes to reach others during our business trips.
Can we resolve the contradiction? If yes, then we should. If not, then we must take responsibility for our choices and stand by them. This means openly accepting the tension it creates in us rather than denying parts of ourselves or hiding behind statements of powerlessness such as “I can’t do otherwise”, “That’s life”, and “If I could, I would do differently”.
“Being in the heart” does not only mean an emotional or subtle connection. It means as well to take responsibility for our feelings and act upon them.
