Kundalini Training Foundation 1

Shankha Prakshalana Initiation

This course is unique, and is the fruit of a collective effort by trainers with some twenty years’ experience in transmitting this technology.

It includes close links with the cycles of the seasons & Ayurveda as well as recent advances in neuroscience knowledge. The face-to-face modules allow you to immerse yourself in an experience of deep collective transformation.

SHANKHA PRAKSHALANA translates as the cleansing (prakshalana) of the conch (shankha). Our body is like a conch, built around divine laws, a place to experience the divine.

Our body is also structured in many small conches, like successive stages or intermediate cavities, that can open up to the full potential of this life.

The conch is the perfect form for reflecting the sound of creation, a reflection of the acceptance of the flow of life. It also produces a powerful sound, reflecting the strength of our creative flow when we honor and take responsibility for what is alive within us.

The aim of this first year is to introduce you to sound and its resonance. It involves a cleansing of your energy channels to clarify your perceptions, to remind you of your uniqueness, your true self, and to dare manifesting your truth.

Over approximately 9 months, online and face-to-face retreat.

“Being at home is not where you were born, being at home is where all your attempts to flee stop”.

– Naguib Mahfouz

Reverence

The teachings are based on respect for Tradition as infused by the rishis of India and the Sufi saints. This path was formalised by Guru Nanak in the 15th century. It has been updated more recently by Yogi Bhajan and Gurudev Singh. The transmission offered here is both technically precise (Shakti) and imbued with devotion (Bhakti). Click here to learn more about our tradition.

Collective Intelligence

In residential retreats, particular emphasis is placed on community (SANGHAT) and yoga in action (SEVA). Participants are strongly encouraged to take part in the day-to-day running of residential life, thus opening themselves up to collective intelligence.

“AJAI ALAI is that vast dimension beyond time and space, yet so familiar that it makes you feel like you’ve come home.

An alchemical crucible and an invitation to refine our being, the school is a place where we learn to become ‘human’.”

Certification

This course is designed for those who wish to discover or deepen the path of Kundalini Yoga in a complete, rigorous and integrated way.

Kundalini Foundation 1 is the first step in initiating the flow of Kundalini energy in a balanced way.

This course provides the theoretical and practical technical elements needed to apply this technology in everyday life and to start embracing the profound transformation to which this path gives access.

In a process of self-initiation, you take on the responsibility of sharing these practices or taking on the role and responsibilities of a teacher if you feel ready. In our view, this requires in-depth experience and sustained introspection.

The Ajai Alai Awakening school provides a 200-hour Kundalini Yoga Training certificate. This does not include supervision in your eventual teaching endeavours.
